Interested In Becoming A Leader or Host?

Leader

The Life Group Leader shepherds and leads a group of people toward spiritual growth, biblical community, and disciple-making. The leader serves as the primary spiritual leader of the group and helps members to grow in Jesus.                                                                                                            

  • Demonstrates spiritual maturity and biblical leadership. 
  • Member in good standing with the church. 
  • Consistently models Christian character and integrity. 
  • Ability to teach, lead, and care for people effectively. 
  • Supports the vision, doctrine, and leadership of the church. 
  • Willing to participate in ongoing leadership development.
  • Spiritual Leadership: Lead group meetings and oversee the overall health of the group. Teach or facilitate biblical discussion. Ensure teaching and conversations remain biblically sound. Cast vision for spiritual growth and discipleship. 
  • Shepherding and Care: Know and care for the people in the group. Pray regularly for each member. Follow up with absent members. Provide encouragement, support, and accountability. Partner with church leadership regarding significant care needs. 
  • Disciple-Making: Help members identify and take spiritual next steps. Encourage Bible reading, prayer, service, and evangelism. Mentor emerging leaders. Help group members discover and use their spiritual gifts. 
  • Group Administration: Coordinate meeting schedules with the Host of the Group. Communicate regularly with members. Organize fellowship and service opportunities. Maintain attendance and participation awareness. 
  • Leadership Development: Identify potential facilitators and future leaders. Delegate responsibilities within the group. Equip others to lead discussions, prayer times, and ministry opportunities. Work toward multiplying healthy groups when appropriate.

Host

The Life Group Host provides a welcoming, safe, and comfortable environment where people can gather for fellowship, spiritual growth, prayer, and discipleship. By opening their home, the host helps create a place where meaningful relationships can develop and people can take next steps in their walk with Christ.

  • Commitment to the mission, vision, and doctrine of the church. 
  • A heart for hospitality and serving others. 
  • Dependable, organized, and willing to open their home consistently. 
  • Ability to work alongside the Life Group Leader and church leadership.
  • Open your home for scheduled Life Group meetings. 
  • Prepare a clean, comfortable, and inviting space for group gatherings. 
  • Help guests feel welcomed and included, especially first-time attendees. 
  • Coordinate with the group to plan meals or light refreshments. 
  • Provide adequate seating and a distraction-free atmosphere for discussion and prayer. 
  • Ensure the meeting space is safe and accessible for attendees. Assist with setup and cleanup before and after meetings. 
  • Partner with the Life Group Leader to create a healthy group culture. 
  • Communicate with the leader regarding scheduling needs or concerns. 
  • Help facilitate fellowship and relationship-building opportunities. 
  • Pray regularly for group members and their spiritual growth. 
  • Encourage attendance, participation, and community within the group. 
  • Help foster an atmosphere of grace, authenticity, and biblical encouragement.
